We think: A classic Ferrari deserves a manual gearshift.

Whether V8 or V12, the Ferrari models of the 2000s get better and better with age. These are the models from the best days of the Luca Di Montezemolo era, they offer performance and driving pleasure in every situation and give you the good feeling that you are still driving yourself. The sound and response of the high-revving naturally aspirated engines are legendary (we are happy to do without turbos and electric motors) and the Pininfarina design remains stylish for eternity.

The bitter pill for enthusiasts: In the noughties, the F1 gearshift was the hot technology at Ferrari; it was considered a technical revolution. Today we know that it does not offer the perfect driving experience for everyone.

It turns out: everything is getting better - only the manual transmission remains good.

But manual gearboxes are rare - in the 8-cylinder Ferrari 360 and F430 sports cars and especially in the 12-cylinder GTs of the 575M, 599 & 612 models, which were delivered almost exclusively with the automated F1 gearbox.

The few examples with a manual gearbox fetch top prices. No wonder, because enthusiasts love the open click-clack Ferrari gearshift and the skillful interaction with the 3 pedals.
